We drain the wet central heating circuit, fit bi-directional thermostatic radiator valves with matched lockshields, and balance system flow rates. System drainage
The heating network is isolated and drained down into containers or an external foul gulley.

Tails and valve change
Old radiator union tails are backed out using hex keys, replaced with fresh PTFE-threaded nickel fittings.

Chemical dosing and venting
The circuit is recharged with water and fresh corrosion inhibitor, then bled free of trapped air.

Lockshield balancing
We set return temperatures using surface thermometers to ensure uniform delta-T across the circuit.
Twelve-Month Fitting Guarantee
All mechanical compression joints, renewed valve bodies, and replacement cartridges installed by us carry a full twelve-month workmanship guarantee. Should a TRV be installed on the radiator in the room with the wall thermostat?
No, the room containing the main wall thermostat should retain manual wheelhead valves to prevent conflicting controls shutting down the heating circuit.
Do you add chemical inhibitor after refilling?
Yes, whenever a central heating system is drained, we inject a bottle of high-grade central heating inhibitor to maintain internal corrosion protection.
